Massage oil – PRANA

The base of the oil is organic unrefined sunflower oil. It is characterized by a high content of unsaturated fatty acids, especially linoleic acid, which is built into the structures of the cell membrane and used to produce properly built ceramides. As a result, sunflower oil exhibits healing and antibacterial effects, strengthens the skin’s lipid barrier, improves hydration, levels inflammation and normalizes skin metabolism. In addition, it contains a lot of vitamin E and approx. 1% phospholipids, half of which is lecithin. Phospholipids bind water and improve skin hydration. Also valuable is the presence of sterols, compounds that are also found in human skin and are essential for its proper functioning. The phenolic compounds present in unrefined oil are antioxidants and protect the skin from free radicals. This oil is suitable for both dry and delicate skin and oily skin, as it is classified as a non-comedogenic oil. The application of linoleic acid to oily and acne-prone skin results in the regulation of sebaceous glands, unclogging skin pores and reducing blackheads.

Called the “oil of youth,” rosehip oil is very good at protecting the skin from free radicals, improving its elasticity, regenerating cells, slowing down the aging process, reducing the appearance of wrinkles and reducing scars. It is a good choice for products designed for skin in need of regeneration.
Unrefined “golden” jojoba oil is one of the lightest oils – it is easily rubbed into the skin and quickly absorbed without feeling too greasy. Thanks to the high content of wax esters, rich especially in eicosenoic acid, similar in structure to the natural waxes present in the skin, jojoba oil is quickly absorbed into the skin penetrating into the deeper layers of the epidermis. It protects the skin from excessive water loss, leaving a velvety and non-greasy finish. The high content of vitamin E shows antioxidant and anti-aging properties. In addition, due to its structure similar to natural sebum components and antibacterial action, it can reduce oily skin.
It is extremely stable and resistant to oxidation. Used as an additive, it stabilizes and prolongs the shelf life of other fine vegetable oils and butters.

Geranium oil has a wide spectrum of beneficial effects on the skin – it regulates sebum secretion, has blood vessel sealing properties, soothes irritation and burns, has antibacterial, antifungal, antiviral and antiparasitic properties. It is helpful in the fight against eczema and other skin imperfections. In addition, it is a valuable antidepressant.

Rosemary oil’s rosmarinic, carnosic and carnosol acids exhibit strong antioxidant and anticancer effects. In addition, they are natural sunscreens, and by inhibiting UVA-induced class I metalloproteinase enzymes, they counteract the breakdown of elastin and collagen fibers responsible for skin firmness. Rosemary also contains ursolic and oleanic acid with regenerative and firming properties, as well as essential oils and diterpenes responsible for strong antibacterial, antifungal, antiviral and antiseptic properties.

Grapefruit oil has a cleansing effect, regulates the sebaceous glands, has a bactericidal and bacteriostatic effect. Prevents disorders of keratinization of hair follicles, formation of blackheads, lightens discoloration. It protects against stretch marks and has an anti-cellulite effect.

NOTE: Do not use the oil before going out in the sun. The pink grapefruit oil contained in the cosmetic may sensitize the skin to sunlight.
